Dans la Caraibes, Seaborn recrute...
We currently operate three Land Based Otters and two Sea Based Otters conducting Part 121 scheduled service to St.Croix, St. Thomas, San Juan, Vieques and Tortola/Virgin Gorda. We plan to introduce three Saab 340B aircraft into service beginning in March 2013. However, we are immediately looking to fill both Saab 340 experienced management and flight crew positions.
As a new hire, you will be placed into the land based (wheel) operation. Seaplane flying is awarded based on performance, seniority, and operational need. Note*** A Seaplane License is NOT required to be hired at Seaborne Airlines.
Qualifications
•Must have a Commercial license with a multi-engine and instrument rating (FAA).
•1000 hours fixed wing total time with at least 100 hours of that being multi-engine.
•A minimum of a current second class medical.
•Must be able to read, write, and fluently speak the English language.
•Ability to legally work in the United States.
•Great customer service skills and a positive attitude.
Competitive Minimums:
•1500 hours total time
•500 hours multi engine
•Twin Otter experience
•Airline Transport License (or written)
•Multi Engine Commercial (or ATP) Seaplane Rating
Fleet
•DeHavilland DHC-6-300 Twin Otters (2 Sea / 4 Land)
•Saab 340B (3 aircraft with service commencing January 2013—however we are immediately looking to fill both Saab 340 experience management and flight crew positions.)
Benefits
•Starting pay equals $23,632 per year for single rated First Officer (Wheel Plane Only).
•Health and Dental Insurance covered fully for single coverage.
•Pay is based on a 75 flight hours per month guarantee (about $23,300/year first year FO).
•Overtime paid over 78 flight hours per month.
•Hotel and per diem are covered by Seaborne during training.
•Simulator is located in Toronto Flight Safety.
•Seaborne has jumpseat agreements with major airlines.
•Two weeks vacation after your first year as an employee.
Lifestyle
•Contract to work 17 days per month.
•Upgrade is based on individual performance and operational necessity. Average upgrade time is 1.5 – 2 years.
•15% pay raise for being “dual qualified” (landplane and seaplane).
•Most schedules begin and end daily in domicile (very few overnights).
•Uniforms include boat shoes, shorts, no tie, and caps optional.
•Cost of living on an island can be high.
Training
Seaborne provides hotel and a daily per diem during training. Simulator training is conducted at Flight Safety in Toronto. All new hires will be required to sign a 24 month training contract.
