Ci-dessous mon retour d'experience en anglais (J'ai passé le BQ l'année dernière, je ne pense pas qu'il soit différent actuellement, à confirmer) :
Logistics : i arrived the day before in the afternoon, i booked a hotel room nearby interpersonal facilities that are located about 20 min walking from the airport.
The assessement day starts at 9 am, and the tests finished at 15/15h30 more or less.
then we waited about 1 hour for the individual debriefs to be completed, and finished the day at about 16h30
On my side, i had booked my flight back home at 18:45 and i had plenty of time
Everything is very well organized, there is a hall next to the assessment room were you can leave your stuff (suitcase, etc...), and food/drinks are provided for the day
After ID's and pilot licenses checks for every participant, we enter the room and each candidate seats in front of one of the laptops provided. They also provide headphones in order to listen the tests instructions, and for the multitasking test.
Then the supervisor does a quick briefing, and the assessment starts.
FIRST PART of the day
Aviation proficiency : 60 questions, 30 minutes, no accurate database on the internet. On my side, i trained on Aviation Exam free test database and it was OK. Skip the questions with Mass & Balance/Performance calculation as you won't have enough time to complete the test otherwise (some candidates left more than 10 questions unanswered because of that...). In the end with only 1 min left, i just answered guessing the result.
English proficiency : You can train on skytest or latestpilotjobs. No accurate database on the internet, just train as much as you can. Train a lot on synonyms, the rest is doable if you speak english really well, but synonyms even challenges english native speakers.
Spatial orientation : Exactly as on the sample test. Train as much as you can on skytest to prepare yourself, but it's very different from the real test. The only thing where skytest is accurate are the rotating cubes, althought the real test is harder because the colours of the cube's faces are less discriminatory. TIME CRITICAL.
Logical reasoning : Exactly as on the sample test. Train on skytest, very similar, not the same database. Train as much as you need. TIME CRITICAL.
Mathematics : High school maths. No calculator allowed but pen and paper are provided. However you need to be very fast and find the most approximate answer to gain as much time as possible, you won't have time to write accurate calculations. You can train with the Math word problem test on skytest, but it will be a lot less complicated (train on easy or medium level). The challenge here is definitly the speed. TIME CRITICAL.
BREAK : 30 min, some sandwiches and drinks are provided in the hall next to the room.
SECOND PART of the day
Concentration test : Find the number 83 in 5 columns of 5 lines of blocks of 6 numbers. 29 questions, i don't remember the time limit, but unless you are very good at this, you shouldn't be able to finish all the questions anyway. Try to give as much correct answers as you can. Train on skytest with custom or medium level as the difficult setting is way too hard. The numbers will not disappear, you decide when to continue. TIME CRITICAL.
Mental Arithmetics : Exactly as on the sample test. Train on skytest, real test is similar as the medium setting. This test combines arithmetics normal and arithmetics with time. Do not expect too big numbers, but train to be quick. Medium setting on skytest should be enough, but who can do the most can do the least. NO TIME
Memory action : Exactly as on the sample test. The real test combines skytest's "Memorize Type of aircraft" & "Perception test". For the "Memorize type of aircraft", You will have series of four aircraft, not more. For the visual memory you will have 4 combinations of symbol and number that will appear one after another, and that you have to memorize. I found it easier than the skytest visual memory test personnaly. For both tests you will have to type in your answer.. NO TIME
Perception : Exactly as on the sample test. Exactly as on skytest medium setting. The real test will be a combination of the "two lines" display that you have on the sample test and of skytest's display.
Multi tasking : Quite different from Multi tasking test 2024 on skytest, and much more harder. Howerver, the training on skytest prepares you well. Don't give up during the test as everyone will be struggling anyway.
Personnality test : 100 questions, 30 min. No right or wrong anwsers, the results will be used by the psychologist to prepare the interview if we arrive at this stage.
Conclusion :
After everyone finished, the individual debriefing starts. The assessor invites those who have a time constraint (like a flight for example), to write their name on a sheet of paper in order to be called for the debriefing in priority.
They call you one by one to have an individual 5 min debriefing of your performance
For me it was a pass, and they explained to me that i will be contacted in a month or two for the simulator assessment
We were 20 candidates at the assessment (2 captains, 8 experienced A320 FO, and 10 A320 type rated candidates with low hours)
We were a good group as about 40 to 50% of the candidates passed
My profile : 41 years old. Low timer (300+ hours in airplanes, A320 type rated no hours)
PS : I confirm that the assessment is the same as Eurowings, good luck everyone !
