General Requirements:
A‐320 PIC Express Course 'A' is designed for pilots who hold a non‐FAA A‐320 Type Rating and are seeking an FAA A‐320 Pilot‐In‐Command (PIC) Type Rating. The applicant will have flown a moderate number of hours during the preceding 12 months, including recent hours on Airbus A318/A319/A320/A321/A330/A340 aircraft.
Specific Requirements:
Pilot Certificate: Foreign (ICAO Member State) equivalent to FAA ATP or FAA Commercial Pilot
Type Rating: An ICAO Member State A‐320 not restricted to SIC only privileges.
Flight Time Recency: 500 hours total on A318/A319/A320/A321, and flown the A318/A319/A320/A321/A330/A340 within the last 12 months.
Total Hours Multi‐Crew: 500 hours
Currency: Within the past 6 months logged:
Six instrument approaches
Holding procedures and tasks
Intercepting and tracking courses through the use of navigational electronic systems
Skill Requirements: Flight skills commensurate with ATP Practical Test Standards
Other Requirements:
A‐320 Proficiency Check administered within the previous 12 months: PIC under 14 CFR Part 61.58(a) or PIC or SIC under 121.441(a) [U.S. or ICAO equivalent in either case].
Must meet all requirements for an original issuance of an FAA ATP Certificate
