2.10.8 VALIDATION OF A FOREIGN LICENCE
a. The requirements for the issue of a foreign country’s licence must be to the equivalent standard for a similar Ghanaian licence. In a case where the requirements of a foreign country are lower than that of the Republic of Ghana, the Director-General may direct that an applicant meet the higher requirement before granting a validation.
b. No validation will be considered if a prospective applicant has been refused a licence in Ghana before, or if the applicant’s Ghanaian license has been revoked in the past or if he/she has been refused a Ghana licence in the past.
c. A foreign licence issued by an ICAO Member State may be accepted for validation provided that the licence itself is valid in all respects i.e., Medical, Instrument Rating and Proficiency Check. The requirements for the validation of a foreign licence are the same as for the conversion of a
particular licence type into a Ghanaian licence including the writing of the Ghana Air Law Examination.
d. The maximum period of validity for a validation certificate issued by the GCAA is only six (6) months from the day of issuance, which is also subject to the validity period of the foreign licence, which ever comes first. Also under normal circumstances, a validation certificate cannot be renewed after it has expired. Holders of validated certificates who intend to continue flying a Ghana registered aircraft may apply for a full Ghana licence.
e. The total required fees for the validation of a private licence and professional flight crew licence are $100.00 and $150.00 respectively. However, the fee for the validation of a foreign Flight Engineer’s licence is $100.00.
NOTE: A foreign licence with less than 28 days to expiry date cannot be validated and likewise an expired/lapsed foreign licence. The issuing authority must renew such a licence before it can be validated
Suivant! (il ne reste plus que 170 pays en enlevant :eu: :us: :ca: etc etc...)
A+ ;)

Et voilà pour la nouvelle-zealande :
Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) issue
For the issue of a NZ ATPL using an unrestricted current equivalent licence and instrument
rating issued by the Authority of an ICAO member state as a basis for recognition, each
applicant will be required to;
1. Complete a qualification and experience assessment with ASL as detailed on pages 1 and 2
of this document. As part of this process, applicants will be required to:
• Produce evidence of having completed at least 500 hours as pilot in command or
1000 hours as co-pilot on multi-crew operations, in multi-engine aircraft, on
commercial IFR operations subsequent to the issue of the flight crew licence that has
been presented for recognition. Such experience is to have been gained in countries
which come under the jurisdiction of the overseas authority that issued the licence,
and;
• show that they have completed the minimum flight experience requirements
prescribed for the issue of an NZ ATPL as prescribed in AC61-1.7.
2. When ASL has confirmed that the applicant is eligible for the NZ recognition provisions,
applicants will be required to:
• Complete the issue of a NZ Class 1 Medical Certificate, and
• Pass a NZ ATPL Air Law written examination, and
• Pass an ATPL issue flight test with a Civil Aviation Authority or an approved airline
flight examiner, then;
3. Apply to CAA for the issue of an ATPL by submitting all of the following;
• A completed application form CAA 24061/02 and form CAA 24FPP or CAA
24FPPDEC as appropriate, together with the licence application fee of NZ$60.00 or
applicable credit card authorisation.
• Photocopies of all completed flight test paperwork including the flight experience
assessment.
• Photocopies of the applicant’s current overseas licence and medical certificate.
• Photocopies of the applicant’s NZ ATPL Air Law examination pass slip (including a
completed Knowledge Deficiency Report) and NZ Class 1 Medical Certificate.
Revision 8 - February 2007
8
Notes:
• Applicants for an ATPL who elect to undertake the issue flight test with a CAA flight
examiner should apply to CAA on form CAA 24061/03 together with an application fee
of $NZ1206.00 G.S.T. inclusive for ATPL (A)or $NZ665.00 for ATPL(H) or applicable
credit card authorisation. If undertaking an ATPL issue flight test within an airline
training system, application to CAA is not required.
• Each ATPL (Aeroplane) issued will include a NZ Instrument Rating.
• Persons wishing to undertake ATPL (Aeroplane) issue tests in approved airline simulators
should note that the only approved devices in New Zealand are owned by Air New
Zealand. These are for Boeing 737-300, Boeing 747-400, Boeing 767, Boeing 777 and
Airbus A320 types.
• Please note that except where specifically provided for, P1 under supervision, command
practice, ICUS or similar time is not acceptable in lieu of the minimum flight experience
requirements laid down in AC61-1.7 for the ATPL (A).
• ATPL issue flight tests must be undertaken in multi-engine aircraft types acceptable to the
Director, or in approved airline flight simulators.

Process for Verification of UK CAA Flight Crew or Engineer Licences

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As part of the process for the issue of a New Zealand (NZ) licence using a current equivalent qualification issued by the authority of any other ICAO member state, the CAA of NZ (CAA) are required to verify licence details with the issuing state.

The UK CAA now requires their individual licence holders who wish to have their UK licence details released to the CAA to submit the appropriate verification authorisation form together with the associated fee to the UK CAA before such information will be released.

Based solely on our understanding of the situation, some guidance about the UK CAA requirements is provided below.

For more specific information UK CAA licence holders should contact the UK CAA directly, www.caa.co.uk.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Guidance Information on UK CAA Requirements

NOTE:

The UK CAA requirements, fees, and web site may change without notice to the CAA of NZ. This guidance is current at August 2005.

The UK CAA advise they are currently developing a similar process for aircraft engineers, this will shortly be published on their Personnel Licensing web site. In the interim, aircraft engineer applicants are to use Form SRG 1160.

Process

The UK CAA Licence holder is required to complete Form SRG 1160 and send to the UK CAA directly with the appropriate fee.

CAA will contact UK CAA directly for verification of Licence.

Once the UK CAA has received both the completed form SRG 1160 and verification request from CAA they will release the licence information to the CAA.

NOTE: Any follow up of the verification authorisation process required by the UK CAA should be taken up with them by the licence holder.

Information on the UK CAA Web Site

Personnel Licensing web page.

1. "Form SRG 1160 - UK Licence Verification Authorisation for non-UK Licence Validation" is available on the UK CAA web site at:
"Personnel Licensing - Flight Crew Licensing - Application Forms".

2. The process is explained on the UK CAA web site at:
"Personnel Licensing - Flight Crew Licensing - What’s New - Intending to fly Overseas".

3. The fee for the verification authorisation is currently £16.
This is stated on the UK CAA web site in the Scheme of Charges for Professional Flight Crew at:
"Personnel Licensing - Flight Crew Licensing - Scheme of Charges - Personnel Licensing Charges Scheme 2004/05".

Voilà.
