You might be a fractional pilot if...
Salut,
Je suis sur que certains d'entre nous (desole Chti si tu l'as deja lu) vont se reconnaitre:
You might be a fractional pilot if...
You totally understand why someone would rather land in the Hudson River
than go to TEB one more time
You've seen a passenger with a net worth north of $500 million take all
the bottled water off the aircraft to stock the beach house for the
weekend, rather than pay 15 bucks for a case at the store
Your favorite four-letter "F" word is "free"
You ask the hotel desk staff if they can heat up your crewfood in the
employee kitchen since there's no microwave in your room
You can eat meat that hasn't been refrigerated for hours, and suffer no
ill effects
You go to bed at home and hang a "Do Not Disturb" sign on your bedroom
door
You eat your meals at home in your lap and you insist that they be
served cold
The hotel desk staff asks where you flew in from today, and you can't
remember
Your spouse drops you off at the airport and you tip them $3 ($5 if they
get your bag)
Your kids knock on your bedroom door before 8am, you instinctively start
yelling at them to read the "do not disturb" sign...and then follow up
with a cell phone call to your wife in the other room to file a
complaint
Your spouse has to remind you "we have a fridge" as you search kitchen
drawers for bottled water
You pull up at a stop light next to a big rig and instinctively grab
your CB mic and transmit: "livin' the dream" over the radio
You routinely use your blackberry while at home to email Flightaware or
Jetplan for current local weather conditions
You put locks on all your doors at home with the same combination as the
stock lockers at work
You use security tape on your doors at home and on your car
You wear the same ugly polo shirt and same pair of jeans every night for
your entire week at home
You haven't bought soap, shampoo, or lotion in years for your own
bathroom at home
You start using your suitcase as your dresser at home
You see more than two S's in a row somewhere and start cursing and
taking off your clothes
You won't eat any meal that doesn't come in a plastic container with
potato salad
You dye your toilet water at home blue
Even at home, you call your bathroom the lav
Every time you get out of your car, you disconnect the battery
You can't remember what your home TV channel lineup is
Every night at home, you mistakenly try to order crewfood when you go to
bed
When you fall asleep in your own lazy boy at home, you always wake up
thinking you're at Signature and just got ASAP'd somewhere
You have an entire set of bowls, serving trays, and drinking glasses at
home, yet none of them match
Your entire wardrobe consists of free FBO shirts and hats
When you leave home for work, your kids ask when you are coming back to
visit

Fly because you like to, if you are in it for the respect, prestige, recognition or money you may be disappointed.
