Before applying, please make sure you fulfil the following pre-requisites:
• Min. 18 years of age
• High School diploma (including Mathematics)
• English (equivalent to ICAO level 3 – then minimum ICAO level 4 for type rating)
• Medical Class 1 Certificate (only required after completion of Online Assessment)
• The course is open to all nationalities
ONLINE ASSESSMENT
The online screening costs 40USD be paid online with a VISA card before you perform the assessment.
Objective: measure your physical and cognitive skills, Mathematical & English aptitudes and situational awareness.
Required Equipment: Computer/laptop with internet access, keyboard and mouse, audio headphones
Location: Anywhere (not on-site)
ON-SITE ASSESSMENT:
Candidates who pass the Online Assessment will then be invited to an On-site Assessment.
Equipment: Provided
Location: Angoulême - South-West France. Further access details will be provided shortly.
The on-site assessment costs 200 € and it will possible to pay it by bank transfer before the day of the assessment.
Part 1:
- Aptitude test: Eye-hand-foot coordination / Short-term memory / Mental arithmetic (including application eg. distance, speed, time and %) / Spatial orientation / Multi-tasking, Physics, English & Verbal reasoning tests
- Personality test
Part 2:
- Group exercises
- Interview in English
- Simulator evaluation

Tuition fee:
The initial phases in CATS (ATPL up to the end of JOC/MCC) amounts 103 160 € (self-financed).
This includes:
• The pilot confirmation assessment phase (51 hours ground training and 18 hours flight). At the end of this phase, we evaluate your potential to succeed the full course. If succeed, no extra cost have to be anticipated.
• The ATPL theory course with an instructor (no e-learning). Each course is limited to a maximum of 12 cadets for a better training performance.
• The flight course (equivalent to CPL IR/ME) (you will fly on Cirrus SR20 and DA42 VI)
• The JOC/MCC course
• The pilot uniform
• The flight bag, including an i-pad
• Access to an e-library
• The examination and licences taxes
Lodging and catering are not including. We will make all our efforts to help you to find an apartment at a moderate price. Angoulême is not an expensive city.
Duration of the course
• The full course duration is approximately 20 - 22 months including Type rating
• The initial phase in Angouleme is approx. 18 months
• These 18 months include approximately 8 months for the ground training (ATPL theory)

You will perform your 1st phases of training in Airbus Flight Academy Europe, in Angoulême. Next course is planned to start mid-April 2019.
The JOC/MCC module (included in the 103 160€) will be carried out in an EASA approved Airbus Training Centre. (e.g. Toulouse)
The Airbus A320 Type Rating (not included in the 103 160€) is an option we also may proposed to be also carried out in an EASA approved Airbus Training Centre.
