Hello!

An aeroplane with a 2 wheel nose gear and 4 main wheels rests on the ground with a single nose wheel load of 500 kg and a single main wheel load of 6000 kg. The distance between the nose wheel and the main wheels is 10 m. How far is the centre of gravity from the main wheels?

a) 40 cm
b) 25 cm
c) 4 m
d) 41.6 cm

a) 40cm.

2 wheels nose = 1000kg
4 main whells = 24000kg
Total load = 25000kg

Distance between nose and main wheels (arm) = 10m.

(10mx1000kg)/25000kg= 0,4m -> 40cm
